The headland Pavilion
Back by popular demand, the headland Pavilion provides visitors with a combination of art, local food, wine and entertainment.
Just a short distance from the Matiatia ferry terminal and set on the Matiatia foreshore with beautiful views across the bay.
The Pavilion offers a warm welcome for our visitors to the event. There is an opportunity to grab a water, pick up a catalogue and apply some sunscreen before boarding the headland shuttle bus to the start of the walkway. It’s also a welcome sight at the end of the walkway and a great way to relax and unwind after your walk. The headland Pavilion Gallery features a gallery, a delicious menu and some of the island’s best local wines.
headland Pavilion Gallery
The headland Pavilion houses an added bonus for visitors to the event – a small works and sculpture gallery where you are able to view and purchase a range of small works and marquettes from the exhibition artists, alongside works by local and national artists.
Take home a little memento of your Sculpture on the Gulf 2017 experience!
The headland Pavilion features an entertainment programme by showcasing a mix of local and national bands, performers and DJs providing a festive atmosphere to enjoy a meal and a glass of wine, or taste one of our fantastic local craft beers.

The headland Sculpture on the Gulf Opening Gala is the first event on the headland Sculpture on the Gulf calendar and is always an evening to remember. Held prior to the public opening it gives our Patrons, Friends and Sponsors and the Waiheke Community an opportunity to open the event in style.
Always a fun evening for all involved – as was evidenced by tickets being sold out!
